Design drawing for furniture

Art director and graphic designer Roy Brooks recently relocated his office to a downtown suite in Milwaukee. I helped him design two desks and some shelves for the space. The desks are designed to look as simple as possible, using slot joints, and are inspired by furniture designed by Donald Judd. The shelves are notched together plywood shelves, maple supports, and plywood dividers.Besides being a graphic designer, Roy also creates art and builds furniture. He built the shelves and desks in his shop and installed them himself.  Check out some of Roy's design work at his website - he uses the moniker Fold Four. He's designed some pretty amazing books. Also, his design blog is here.
